UNH Signs Five to National Letters of Intent

"Nicole is a perfect fit for our UNH program and our team style of attack, and is one of most skilled pure attackers we have recruited," Daly said. "Her tremendous stick skills, field vision, decision-making, athleticism and offensive intuition will help establish great connections with her UNH teammates, as well as help continue her knack for scoring goals and being a finisher in clutch situations. Nicole's skills as a playmaker on attack and her overall offensive presence are an ideal fit for our team and much needed in the program as we build our championship program and a championship attack unit. I fully expect Nicole to make an immediate impact on our attack unit and to complement our team style of play very well while adding some much-needed scoring punch."

Lynch is a standout lacrosse and volleyball player at St. Anthony's High School in Huntington, N.Y. She has helped lead St. Anthony's teams to multiple catholic league championships in both lacrosse and volleyball. Lynch also is a member of the talented Long Island Express Club Team. In her junior season, she helped lead St. Anthony's to a No. 3 national ranking and played a vital role on defense en route to winning another L.I. Catholic League championship in lacrosse. During her junior year, Lynch also was awarded the Iron Workhorse Award for her performance on the lacrosse field.

"Annie is a talented, athletic, intelligent, low defender who has great stick work, reads and defensive instincts," Daly said. "She has the ability to come and make an immediate impact at UNH on our defensive unit and will fit perfectly with our defensive style of play and with her Wildcat teammates. Clearly, her experiences and successes on and off the field at St. Anthony's have prepared Annie well to come to UNH and continue her high level of success for our program and in the classroom. Annie will be a great fit here at UNH and will no doubt develop into a future leader of our team's defense and help us achieve our championship goals."

A two-year captain, McHoul was named a U.S. Lacrosse First Team All-America selection as well as an Under Armour All-America honoree in 2011. She has also been a member of the Mass Elite Lacrosse Club since 2004, and was selected to the Lower New England Team #1 for the National Tournament in 2011. McHoul is also a soccer and basketball letterwinner who served as captain for both teams during her senior year.

"Laura is, plain and simple, the ideal midfield recruit for UNH women's lacrosse," Daly said. "I am thrilled that she will be a Wildcat and bring her talent, athleticism, leadership and competitive drive to our program. She is a winner, leader and team player and she has that special skill to make her teammates and team better each and every day. Laura is a fierce competitor who works hard to impact all aspects of the game. I expect her to immediately step in and impact our UNH team on attack as both a top playmaker and scorer. Laura is one of the most talented recruits we have seen in some time and we expect that she will impact our UNH team in both the midfield and on attack, and help us firmly establish our championship program in Division I."
