Why did you choose Johns Hopkins? "Johns Hopkins was, for me, the closest thing to Boys' Latin so I felt comfortable there, right away. I prefer a small school and knew it would benefit me overall. During my stay, I had a very enjoyable time meeting the team, and walking around campus. I felt that I was able to connect to Coach (Dave) Pietramala immediately and have great respect for his coaching methods. I also like the fact that I will be close to home where I can stay connected with my brothers."

What is your HS team's outlook for next year? "Although we did lose a lot of key seniors, we are returning many experienced, solid players. I'm excited to see how the season will pan out, and of course the goal is to win the MIAA Championship, which is never out of reach for BL and Coach (Bob) Shriver."

Moreland becomes the second Boys' Latin player from the Class of 2014 to make a commitment to Hopkins, joining midfielder Tal Bruno. It has been reported elsewhere that teammate Shack Stanwick has also committed to Hopkins.
