Penn State Signs 8 to Letters of Intent for 2013

Personal: Heather Marie Harman was born on September 27, 1993 in Flower Mound, Texas to parents John and Bridget Harman...Has two younger brothers, Shea and Camden...Plans to major in graphic design/architecture...Career aspirations are to "become a world renowned architect"...Hobbies include working as a waitress, attending zumba classes with friends, driving her Jeep Wrangler with the top down, and making s'mores...Selected Penn State because "I loved the spirit, pride, and energy of every student on campus. Hearing `WE ARE' being screamed out the window by students driving by is what really sold me."

Missy Doherty on Harman: "Heather is a great person and a tough defender. It is exciting to have a player from Georgia, one of the growing hot spots for women's lacrosse. We will be graduating a few starting defenders, so we are looking forward to Heather competing for one of those defensive spots."

Ally Heavens stars at Garnet Valley H.S. where she posted 66 goals and 40 assists in 2011 to lead the Jaguars to a 24-3 record and to Central League and PIAA state championships. A three-year starter in the midfield, she earned U.S. Lacrosse Girls' High School All-American, ESPN Rise Second Team All-American, and First Team All-Delco and All-Central League honors following her standout junior season. In ESPN's 2011 top high school girls rankings, Heavens was rated as the No. 1 defender in the nation and as the No. 2 player overall.

An all-around stellar athlete, Heavens has also earned three letters in soccer and four in basketball at Garnet Valley. During the summer of 2011, Heavens was a member of the Philadelphia Region Under Armour All-American and PASLA Regional Mid-Atlantic Philly #1 Teams. She plays club lacrosse with Brandywine Majors Select under head coach Christy Ann Morello.

Personal: Allyson Teresa Heavens was born on September 14, 1993 in Aston, Pa. to parents Dan and Terri...Dan played football at West Chester University and Terri played lacrosse and field hockey at Temple...Has two older sisters, Meredith and Courtney...Has six relatives that attended Penn State...Intends to major in physical therapy or kinesiology...Career plans include becoming a physical therapist and a high school or college level lacrosse coach...Hobbies include running, physical fitness, dancing, music, shopping, scrapbooking, reading magazines, traveling, her beagle, Chester, going to the beach in Sea Isle City, N.J, and spending time with friends and family...Chose Penn State because "it is an exact fit with my academic and athletic goals."

Jenna Mosketti is a two-time first team all-county midfielder and 2009 state champion from Michael McTeague High School in Fallston, Md. The three-year starter and 2011 team captain earned second team all-state honors following a standout junior season. Mosketti is rated No. 16 on ESPN's 2011 list of top 25 high school juniors. Also a standout field hockey player at MMHS, she captured state titles in 2009 and 2011 and is a three-time first team all-county honoree.
