Missy Doherty on Mosketti: "Jenna is a standout midfielder who excels at both the offensive and defensive end. At 5-10, she is a true presence on the field, and also exhibits all the characteristics you look for in a leader. Not to mention, she is a good cook, so I'm sure her teammates will appreciate that."

Emi Smith comes to Happy Valley from the Rocky Mountains where she has been a four-year starter at goalkeeper and attack for Regis Jesuit High School in Denver. An excellent athlete, she also played three years of rugby, earning all-state honors as a sophomore.

Smith competed at the club level with Team 180 under head coach Sam Bartron.

Personal: Emily "Emi" Victoria Smith was born on August 2, 1994 in Fairfax, Va. to parents Robert and Victoria...Has an older brother, Drew, and a younger brother, William...Plans to major in occupational, speech, and physical therapy and work with autistic children...Also has aspirations of becoming a lacrosse coach...Enjoys art as a hobby...Selected to attend Penn State because "I loved the atmosphere when I visited. The lacrosse team and coaches were so welcoming and loving and I wanted to be a part of it."

Missy Doherty on Smith: "I love Emi's energy and competitive spirit. As a goalkeeper, you need to be extremely tough mentally and Emi certainly demonstrates both the physical and mental qualities that a top goalkeeper needs. I am excited to have Emi compete for a spot in the cage for the next four years!"

Erika Spilker, a midfielder who attends Severna Park High School (Md.), has helped the Falcons to 4A Region and State Championships in 2009 and 2011. A four-year starter, she battled back from an ACL injury suffered in October of 2010 to return to action in April in time to lead SPHS to the 2011 state title and a 16-3 record. In 2010, Spilker received Second Team All-Anne Arundel County honors as the Falcons went 16-1 and captured a district championship.

Spilker plays club lacrosse for SPLax under head coach Jen Fuller.

Personal: Erika Gabrielle Spilker was born on August 27, 1994 in Baltimore, Md. to parents Jeff and Eva...Has three younger siblings, Logan, Rachel and Lilly...Hobbies include family and friends...Undecided on a major but wants "to do something with people and sports and definitely something that is active."...Came to Penn State because "I knew Penn State was right for me the first time I visited. Great academics, great athletics, great coaches, an amazing campus and a team ready to win a national championship."

Missy Doherty on Spilker: "Erika is a tough athlete who does the dirty work. She is a naturally gifted athlete, who brings finesse and hard work to the field. Our midfield will be extremely competitive, and Erika will surely be in the mix to contribute quickly."
