Castle Joins Coaching Staff at Wheeling Jesuit

Wheeling Jesuit University has added Scott Castle to the coaching staff for the 2012 sesason. He will assist with WJU's offensive play, focusing at the midfield position.

Castle, a graduate from Nazareth College, Rochester, N.Y., earned a Bachelor of Science in speech pathology and will be pursuing a master's in organizational leadership at Wheeling Jesuit.

At Nazareth, he was a four year lettermen for the men's lacrosse team and was named captain his senior year. Castle was a 3-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-American and a 3-time First Team All-Empire 8 selection as a midfielder. He led the Golden Flyers midfield in points for three seasons, tallying 118 total points.

In addition, Castle was selected to play in USILA's North vs. South All-Star game and received Nazareth's Block N Award for outstanding athletic ability, sportsmanship, and leadership.

Head coach Jay Sothoron on Castle: "I'm very excited that Scott Castle has joined our staff. Scott had a great career at the DIII national powerhouse Nazereth College. He will work as our offensive coordinator this season. We are very young on the offensive side so Scott will work hard to development our talent. His wealth of experience playing at a high level will benefit our team. Adding Castle will allow me to spend more time with the defense and other aspects of our team."
