MSV Picked Fifth in Skyline Preseason Poll

New York, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Lacrosse team has been picked fifth in the Skyline Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll it was announced on Monday afternoon. The Dolphins earned 32 points in the rankings voted on by the league's nine head coaches.

After finishing 8-0 in the Skyline Conference in 2011, Montclair State is the league favorite in 2012 after totaling 64 points and eight of the nine first place votes. Ramapo came in second with 54 points, including the remaining first place vote.

Farmingdale State sits third in the preseason poll with 52 points and is followed by Kean in fourth with 41 tallies. Mount Saint Vincent rounds out the top-5 in the league with 32 points.

Rounding out the nine team field are Mount Saint Mary with 31 points, league newcomer St. Joseph's-L.I. with 20 points, Maritime with 17 points and Sage with 13 points.

The Dolphins will open the 2012 campaign on Saturday, March 3 when they travel to Notre Dame (Md.) for a 1:00 p.m. draw. The Mount will close out a busy opening weekend on March 4 when they round out the trip at Trinity (D.C.).
