Georgia Tech Knocks off No. 12 Florida State
Gantt scored his third of the quarter and the game, when Thomas found him open again a 90 seconds later and Gantt's second straight goal would ice the game. Face off midfielders and brothers, Patrick Tynan and Chris Tynan (Martinez, GA/Lakeside) were crucial in the fourth quarter winning the final four face offs. Pat Tynan won the ensuing face off, after Gantt's goal made it 9-7 Tech, and Thomas once again assisted when he drove the pressure defense of FSU and fed an open Ben Anzovino (Marietta, GA/Harrison) who buried the shot to give Tech the 10-7 advantage. Tech's strong defense would close out the game and secure the victory for the Jackets.
