Shorewomen Pass Profs' Test to Earn Victory

Ziccardi led Washington with three goals and added an assist for a team-best four points in the game. Eisenbrandt, Hubley and Shipley both scored twice in the victory, while Eisenbrandt and Hubley added an assist for three points apiece. In goal, junior goalkeeper Stephanie Seibert (Clear Spring, MD/Mercersburg (PA) stopped nine shots and had a career-high and game-best eight ground balls.

Lubrano led all players with four goals and five points for the Profs. Sucharski had two goals and a game-high two assists for four points, while Micchiche had two goals. In the net, Barrie totaled eight saves.

Rowan held a slim 27-26 edge in shots, while Washington had a 16-12 advantage in ground balls. The Shorewomen were 8 for 13 in clears, while the Profs were just 4 for 11.

The win was Washington's first win on the road against Rowan and the team has won three of the past four versus the Profs.

The Shorewomen are back in action on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to St. Mary's (MD) for a non-conference contest at 4:00 p.m.
