Franklin Pierce Opens Topping Roberts Wesleyan

McInnis picked up his third tally a little more than a minute later and Noonan put in another one at the 4:10 mark to give the Ravens a 10-5 lead.

Cornarie snapped RWU's scoring draught at the 13:51 mark of the fourth quarter with a tally, but the Ravens reeled off three-straight goals to close out the scoring and seal the victory. Dintaman sandwiched a pair of goals around a Cahill man-up marker as the Ravens earned the seven-goal triumph.

Franklin Pierce outshot Roberts Wesleyan, 54-34, including holding the Raiders to just 14 attempts in the second half.

The Ravens special teams play was very strong for it being the first game of the season. After RWU to score a man-down goal to begin the game, Franklin Pierce scored a pair of man-up goals and limited the Raiders to a 1 for 11 clip with the extra man advantage.

Franklin Pierce returns to action on Friday when the Ravens play host to Saint Rose at 3:00 p.m. in Sodexo Field.
