Reifsnyder Leads Gophers Past Colby-Sawyer
TOWSON, Md. – Goucher scored the first seven goals of each half to take control and defeat Colby-Sawyer, 18-7, on Monday afternoon.
Erin Reifsnyder tallied her third of six goals to put the Gophers up 7-0 less than 14 minutes into the game and helping them cruise to a 11-5 halftime advantage. To start the second period, six different Goucher (1-4) players tallied goals to extend the advantage to 18-5.
In addition to Reifsnyder's six goals, Mary Lambert, Hannah Khin, and Becca Smith each tallied three goals. Goucher held a 20-7 advantage in draw controls and a 29-16 lead in shots. Brittney Murphy had a hand in all seven Colby-Sawyer (0-2) goals, with four goals and three assists.
