McDaniel Holds off Eastern for Non-Conference Win

With three minutes left in the third, the game broke open. Kyle Gillam scored from Chris Farrar to level the score at 4-4. Just over a minute later, the Green Terror reclaimed the lead on a JS Duke goal. Eastern tied the game with 20 seconds left in the period on Eric Waibel's second career goal, but McDaniel controlled the ensuing face-off and Duke gave the hosts the lead for good with his second of the day.

Will Johnson scored his second goal of the afternoon with seven minutes to play to renew Eastern hopes, but McDaniel goalie Christian Dallmus was up to the challenge with three of his eight saves in the final two minutes to earn the win.

The Eagles open their home schedule against Utica College on Tuesday afternoon.
