Shepherd Nets Five as Pfeiffer Routs Florida Tech

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men's Lacrosse) Florida Tech lost to Pfeiffer in a non-conference match-up, 23-4, Tuesday afternoon at Hustler Stadium. Pfeiffer upped its record to 6-3 overall with the win, while the Panthers dropped to 0-8 in their inaugural season.

Ryan Bailey scored FIT's first goal of the game with 6:34 to play in the second quarter. Christian Isola tacked on three more goals, all came in the fourth quarter.

The Panthers will play their last home night game of the season on Thursday against Colorado Mesa at 7:00 p.m. at Hustler Stadium. Their home slate will conclude Saturday against Shorter at 1:00 p.m. Live audio and stats will be available for both games at

MELBOURNE, F.L. - A dozen different players found the back of the net as Pfeiffer thumped Florida Tech, 23-4, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons, led by James Shepherd's five goals, improve to 6-3 on the year while the Panthers fall to 0-8.

In the first half of play, 15 of the game's 16 goals belonged to Pfeiffer. Steven Tilmon started things off just 1:11 into the contest. This week's league player of the week Cole Paciejewski followed with his first of the day, while Shepherd hit three minutes later. Shepherd scored the final goal of the first quarter, and the Falcons held a 7-0 lead.

Tucker Hammock, Shepherd, Robert Hope and Jeff Konko would each strike in the second quarter before the Panthers got on the board with a Ryan Bailey goal. Pfeiffer would score the next ten-straight leading into the third quarter. Paciejewski and Hammock would each tally final goals in the early stages of the fourth, while Christian Isola scored Florida Tech's final three.

Pfeiffer dominated 38-20 in shots and held a +25 margin in groundballs 44-19. The Falcons now have a week off before opening up a stretch of four-straight at home beginning with region-rival Wingate next Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
