Wolverines Can't Keep Pace with the Eagles

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. Wesley could not overcome a seven-goal halftime deficit and fell to Mary Washington, 13-7, Wednesday night in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Wolverines fall to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in the CAC, while the Eagles improve to 6-1 and 2-0 in league play.

Mary Washington held Wesley scoreless in the first half and scored the game's first nine goals. After a Dan Tryon score put Wesley on the board, UMW responded before the Wolverines scored four-straight to cut the deficit to 10-5 with 13:09 left to play.

UMW then went on a 3-0 run before goals by Tim Dougherty and Patrick Lipari made the score 13-7 in favor of the Eagles.

Lipari and Dougherty both had two goals while Tryon tallied two points with a goal and an assist. Drew Hammer and James Moss also found the back of the net as Joe Donato and Jose Flores recorded assists.

John Bohlinger led the Eagles with six points on three goals and three assists as Harry Snyder tallied four goals and an assist for five points.
