Washington & Lee's Seven-Goal Run Sinks Guilford
Sophomore Patrick Jennings (Reisterstown, Md./Boys' Latin) played the opening 52:30 in goal for W&L, recording five saves with four goals allowed. First-year Warren Berenis (Ocoee, Fla./Lake Highland Prep) played the final 7:30 between the pipes, making four saves with one goal allowed.
Guilford was paced by senior attackman Greg Nash and Clausen, who notched one goal and one assist apiece. First-year goalkeeper Thomas Deane played all 60 minutes and booked 13 saves.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it travels to sixth-ranked Lynchburg College for a 7:00 pm contest.
