Maine Farmington Runs Past Becker
Leicester, Mass. – Maine Farmington defeated Becker College 18-4 in non-conference women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
The Beavers outshot Becker 42-9 on the afternoon. Senior Emma Morrison (Saco, Me.) lead Maine-Farmington with a game high five goals. Classmate Alyssa Neptune (Readfield, Me.) contributed with three goals, securing the hat-trick. Maddi Kadnar (Oakland, Me.), Miranda Levesque (Sanford, Me.), Molly Carbin (Scarborough, Me.) and Marisa Hanning (Hebron, Me.) all chipped in with two goals each.
Maine-Farmington goalie Hannah Goodenow (Freeport, Me.) made three saves as the Beavers improve to 2-1 on the season. Maine-Farmington will return to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Lasell College for a battle with the Lasers at 1:00 pm.
The Hawks received goals from Elizabeth Durate (Riverside, RI), Shannon Smith (Barre, Vt.) Samantha Jo-Dilkes (Little Falls, NJ) and Kristen Mader (Tewksbury, Mass.).
Becker goalie Karena Prescott (New Bedford, Mass.) made 10 saves on the afternoon as Becker falls to 0-4 on the season. The Hawks return to action on Tuesday, March 27, when they host Wheelock College at 3:30 pm.
