Dutchmen Win Sixth Straight, in a Rout at Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. - Streaking Lebanon Valley won its sixth straight game, dropping outmatched Rosemont 20-3 behind eight individual multi-point performances.

The Dutchmen (6-1) were buoyed by a three-goal, two-assist game by freshman Matt Lubawski, and Scott Travers also had a three-goal, one-assist performance. The 20-goal outburst was a program record.

Malik Pedroso added two goals and three assists, and Alex Beard and Alex Legge scored twice each as LVC dominated the game by holding Rosemont scoreless for the first three quarters and outshooting the hosts 48-17 overall.

Scott Sutton went 19 for 25 on face-offs to spur the offense, resetting his own single-game ground balls record with 19. LVC led 7-0 after the first quarter and 13-0 at the break.

Ironically it was a defender who scored first as Andrew Kruter notched 1:15 into the game for LVC, and it was all Dutchmen from there as CJ Adams, Beard, Matt Roupe, Travers, and Lubawski scored over the rest of the quarter. Pedroso and Lubawski had two each in the second to go with a CJ Adams goal and Legge's first.

Ty Fosnacht opened the third quarter before goals by Travers and Andrew Dennison, and Ryan Lanigan scored to start the fourth quarter before Rosemont finally got their first thanks to Ron Vogelei. Legge, Matt Aldridge, and Travers finished the scoring for LVC.

Mike Moll played the first half and did not have to make a save in the win; Ethan Hilberg and Sam Frallicciardi each played a quarter and made two saves. Eric Diana took the loss with seven stops in a half, and John Gonzalez played the second with three saves for Rosemont.

LVC will play its Commonwealth Conference opener March 31 at Elizabethtown.
