Eagles Controls the Game and Ground the Falcons
"The face-off goal in the third was enormous," Eastern Head Coach Kevin Wallace stated, " With them starting with the ball after our penalty, we needed something. AJ came through with a huge play for us."
Wagner and Andy Jameson scored early int he fourth, and the Eagles looked to hold possession the rest of the way.
"It was a good day for us," Wallace summed up, "but we can still get better. We had more turnovers than we wanted and we missed on some clears, but I am happy with the progress. Having Matt Wagner back helped us a lot. He provided leadership and really worked off the ball. He is smart about his cuts. AJ [Ryan] and [Aaron] Benz were big as well."
Benz made 10 saves in his return for the Eagles. Eastern returns to Olson field for a local rivalry game against Ursinus on Saturday.
