Pierce, Tigers Grind Out a Victory Over Sewanee
Sophomore goaltender Zach Stedman made 10 saves on 18 shots for CC, which improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Sophomore Tommy Healy stooped 13 of 25 shots for Sewanee, which dropped to 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the SCAC.
Colorado College hits the road next weekend for conference games at Birmingham-Southern College and Oglethorpe University on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
"We don't need any hype to play Birmingham-Southern," Pierce said. "They're our biggest rival and we're excited about going down there and playing them on their home field."
