Pacers Fall to 11th-Ranked Cavaliers in CSAC Play

The Blue and White continued its scoring touch through the final 13 minutes of the half, posting five more goals before the break for a 14-2 halftime lead. Thorp recorded a goal and two assists during the stretch. DiSanzo and Hill scored their second, while freshmen Eric Streicher and Ben Laffoon marked the score sheet.

While freshman Mike Leyden's 10th goal of the year was the only goal scored in the third period, the Cavaliers had a few more shots saved for the final quarter. Hill and Sobieski found the net midway through the period, before Cooper completed his first career multi-goal game.

Cooper led the Cavaliers with seven ground balls, as juniors Andrew Kvech and Tim Grenier secured five apiece. Grenier and fellow junior Tyler Grau also caused two turnovers each.

Sam Trill scored two goals for the Pacers (4-4, 1-1 CSAC).

The Cavaliers will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Saturday when they host Whittier (Ca.) College. The nonconference game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
