No. 8 Franklin & Marshall Throttles Bryn Mawr

LANCASTER, Pa. Kimberly Abruzzo picked up a hat trick and six other Diplomats scored two goals each to deliver No. 8 Franklin & Marshall a 19-3 victory over Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action Wednesday evening.

Abruzzo scored a pair in the first half where the Diplomats did majority of the damage. F&M tallied 14 goals in the first and picked up five more in the second period to cruise the victory.

Mary Mitchell, Maggie Mae Shields, Emily D'Erasmo, Emily Everdell, Casey Madden and Mary McNut all scored two goals. Brittney Jorgenson, Megan Kelly, Kara Stanley and Casey Downie each tallied a score while Lauren Ehrhardt dished out a game-high four helpers. Lauren Selawski assisted on two goals and seven other Diplomats finished with an assist.

Christie Bonfiglio collected seven draws and Madden finished with a game-high five groundballs.

Rebecca Rosen improved to 7-2 with three saves on the day.

F&M outshot the Owls 25-9 and won 19 of the games' 23 draw controls.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday when F&M hosts McDaniel at 1:00 p.m.
