Assumption Falls at Franklin Pierce

Rindge, N.H. (March 31) -- Franklin Pierce jumped out an 8-1 halftime lead and held off a second-half rally as Assumption dropped an 11-6 final to the Ravens on Saturday afternoon at Sodexo Field. The Hounds outshot the Ravens by a 23-9 margin in the second half in the comeback attempt.

Senior Tom Guido (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor) led the Assumption offense, along with one goal and one assist from freshman Garrett Smith (East Syracuse, N.Y./Minoa) and senior Tim Roy (Avon, Conn./Avon).

Brendan Cahill tallied three goals for the Ravens as three players registered double-digit goals.

Sophomore Matt Palubicki (Scituate, Mass./Scituate) made five saves, while Don Denman had 11 saves in the win.

Assumption falls to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in Northeast-10 play, while Franklin Pierce is now 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the league.

The Hounds are back in action on Wednesday, April 4th as team hosts Southern New Hampshire University at 7:00 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Stadium.
