D'Achille Has 9 Pts. as Marywood Crushes Cedar Crest

Allentown, PA - Marywood won their second-straight CSAC game in a big fashion, defeating host Cedar Crest, 26-1, on Wednesday afternoon. The Pacers, who got a game-high nine points from Diana D'Achille, improve to 7-3 on the season with the win and 4-0 in conference play, while the Falcons remain winless in 10 games this spring.

Marywood built a 10-0 lead over the first 10:22 of Wednesday's game after getting four goals from D'Achille, two apiece from Kimberly Commisso and Brooke Bondurant, and single tallies by Taylor McKeown and Sarah Caughy. Tara Fikes put scored Cedar Crest's lone goal of the afternoon at the 18:09 mark of the first half of an Olga Cauble assist, but the Pacers scored the final nine goals of the period to hold a 19-1 advantage at halftime.

D'Achille added three more goals during the run while McKeown and Caughy each netted a pair to complete their hat-tricks. Commisso and Bondurant also found twine down the stretch in the opening 30 minutes of play while Brooke Bondurant had two assists and Caughy, Danielle McCabe, D'Achille, Lauren Indelicato, Laura Bremer, and Carly Kliment added single helpers.

Kathy DiGiacomo scored a pair of second half goals for the Pacers, who got single tallies from Indelicato, Kliment, Stephanie Naro, Dana Grossjung, and Ilze Spilde to account for the final score.

D'Achille's game-high nine points came on seven goals and two assists while Bondurant added three goals and two assists for five points. Caughy contributed four points on three goals and one assist while Commisso (3 goals), McKeown (3 goals), DiGiacomo (2 goals, 1 assist), Indelicato (1 goal, 1 assist), Kliment (1 goal, 1 assist), and Kelly Kryspin (2assists) all had multi-point performances in the win for Marywood.

Kryspin and Ashley Cavellier each collected four groundballs to lead Marywood. Leigha Dolcemascolo needed to make just one save to pick up her seventh victory of the season in the Pacers' net.

Marywood held a commanding, 36-4 advantage in shots for the game and held a 25-18 advantage in groundballs for the afternoon.

Katie Brown made eight stops while going the distance in goal for Cedar Crest.

Marywood's next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 14th at Notre Dame of Maryland University. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m. in Baltimore, MD.
