No. 10 Saint Anselm Wins 7th Straight, Edging Bentley

MANCHESTER, N.H. – No. 10 Saint Anselm scored four unanswered goals in the fourth quarter on its way to an 8-6 win over Bentley in Northeast-10 men's lacrosse Wednesday night.
Bentley led 5-4 after three after they scored the final two goals of the quarter from J.D. Ayer (Rochester, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit) and Steve Caditz (Mercer Island, Wash./Mercer Island).
Bentley held onto the lead for nearly half the fourth quarter until senior midfielder Michael DeVita tied the game with 7:43 left. Less than a minute later, Daniel Sullivan scored a man-up goal to put the Hawks up 6-5. The score stayed that way for another three minutes until Tyler Steinetz found the back of the net to make it 7-5 with 3:45 left.
Each team scored in the final 23 seconds with Ayer scoring for Bentley to close out the scoring.
A low-scoring first half ended with Bentley leading 3-2 after senior Justin Holmes (Brookfield, Conn./Berkshire School), Caditz and junior Dan Keefer (Wayland, Mass./Wayland) scored in the first half.
The Falcons fall to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the NE-10, while the Hawks have won seven in a row and are now 7-1 and 5-0 in the NE-10.
