Lea Scores Four, Leads No. 6 Mustangs Past Seahawks

The third stanza commenced with a trio of goals by Stevenson, including two by senior midfielder Nick Rossi (Lutherville, Md./Towson), for an 11-3 Mustang lead at 6:31. Three minutes later, junior midfielder Riley Fink (University Park, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) tacked on another goal for the Seahawks before the Mustangs posted an eight-goal cushion with 52 seconds left in the third period.

Only three goals were tallied in the final quarter as Stevenson notched the first two goals and then first-year midfielder Nate Babcock (Baltimore, Md./Severn School) picked up the Seahawks' final goal of the game at 9:25. Neither team scored in the final minutes of the contest as the final remained 14-5.

D'Ambrogi and junior attacker Patrick Mull (Fallston, Md./Fallston) each tallied two points to pace the Seahawk attack as D'Ambrogi scored once and helped on another while Mull dished two assists.

Stevenson was led in scoring by Lea's four goals while sophomore midfielder Chris Dashiell (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) handed out three helpers.

The Mustangs outshot St. Mary's, 53 to 22, while posting 40-29 advantage in ground balls. Stevenson was also 13 of 22 at face-off X.

Senior Stu Wheeler (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's School) was one save shy of matching his career-high as Wheeler made 19 stops between the pipes with one ground ball.

St. Mary's will be back in action on Saturday, April 7 as the Seahawks travel to York, Pennsylvania to take on York College of Pennsylvania (6-4, 2-2 CAC) for Capital Athletic Conference action at 12:00 pm.
