No. 2 Le Moyne Hands No. 3 Merrimack First Loss of Season

The fourth period was not too kind to the Warriors as Le Moyne scored two goals and held the Warriors to none, to preserve the 8-6 victory in front of the home crowd.

Nick Maggio (Winchester, Mass.) finished the afternoon going 8-18 on faceoff attempts while scooping up a team-high six groundballs. Senior Peter Schielke (Ridgefield, CT) continued his steady defensive play as he caused a team-high two turnovers and scooped up two groundballs on the afternoon.

Green finished the game making four saves while allowing eight goals in his first loss of the season. Green's counterpart for Le Moyne, Jeff White, finished the game with five saves and allowed six goals.

Blumer finished with a game-high three goals for the Dolphins in the win. Prevost and Chris Button each recorded two goals for Le Moyne in the victory.

Merrimack (7-1, 4-1 NE-10) will stay on the road for a conference match-up with Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday April 10 at 4:00 pm.
