Hood Beaten 22-3 by No. 14 Mary Washington

FREDERICK, Md.-Hood College (2-13, 0-6 CAC) was defeated by the No. 14 Mary Washington Eagles (9-3, 5-2 CAC) 22-3 Wednesday afternoon at Thomas Athletic Field.

Senior Kati Vu scored two goals to propel her to 30 goals for the season. Vu is just one goal away from tying her career-high for goals in a season with 31. The Baltimore native is now alone in ninth place for goals in the Capital Athletic Conference this season. Senior Julia Banks also netted a goal giving her 20 goals on the year.

Mary Washington got off to a quick start as they scored the first 12 goals of the contest. They had five players who tallied two goals or more at intermission and outscored Hood 7-2 in the second half.

Caitlin Lawrence won six draws and Helene Butler made nine saves for Hood.

The Blazers will hit the road for their next contest coming this Saturday against CAC rival Wesley College at 2:30 p.m.
