No. 13 Saint Anselm Outguns Southern Connecticut
Freshman goalkeeper Alee Ramzi (Cumberland, R.I.) earned the win by making 10 saves – including eight in the first half – in the first 46:15 of action. Sophomore Katherine Amato (Bedford, N.H.) played the final 13:45 in net and stopped seven of 10 shots. Lynette Martinez made nine saves for the Owls.
Saint Anselm outshot Southern Connecticut, 40-37, while the Owls held a 19-16 in draw controls. The Hawks were 2 for 4 on free-position chances and the Owls were 5 for 13.
The Hawks return to action Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. when they play host to Bentley University on Senior Day under the lights at Grappone.
