2012 All-Patriot League Team and Major Awards Announced

Generi has started all 17 games this season and has scored at least one goal in every contest. Generi scored seven goals, matching the Navy freshman record, and added eight draw controls in Navy's win over American.

Generi has 57 points (50 goals, 7 assists), 15 ground balls, 10 free-position goals and a school record five game-winning goals. She was a four-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week selection this season and is Navy's first rookie of the year.

Wright earns her first career all-league award with her selection to the second team. Wright consistently marks opposing teams' top offensive player and has played an important role in helping Navy's defense rank fifth in the nation in scoring defense at 7.88 goals per game.

Wright has made 16 starts in 2012, scooped 14 ground balls and caused 13 turnovers. Wright was a member of Navy's track and field team as a freshman before coming out to the women's lacrosse team as a sophomore and has been a full-time starter on Navy's defense in each of the past two seasons.

Fellows earned all-league second-team honors after scoring 42 points on 30 goals and 12 assists, to go along with 24 ground balls, 17 draw controls and 11 caused turnovers.

Fellows had 10 multi-goal games and three five-point games. She tallied seven points on six goals in a win over Longwood and scored a team-high five points against No. 1 Northwestern. Fellows earned a pair of Patriot League Rookie of the Week awards this season.

Timchal, in her fifth year at Navy, earns her first Patriot League Coach of the Year award. Timchal owns a career record of 409-107 (.792) over 30 seasons and is 73-21 (.777) while at Navy. Timchal became the first college lacrosse coach to win 400 games earlier this season and was recently named a finalist for the 2012 US Lacrosse National Hall of Fame. Timchal has guided Navy to back-to-back Patriot League Tournament titles and NCAA Tournament appearances.

Navy won the regular season championship in 2012 with a perfect 6-0 record and stand at 15-2 overall. The Mids will host the Patriot League Tournament this weekend. Navy will host No. 4 American on Friday at 5:00 PM. The second semifinal features No. 2 Colgate and No. 3 Holy Cross with the semifinal winners meeting Sunday at 12:00 p.m. with the league title on the line.
