Sophomore midfielder Lura Allen (Hingham, Mass.) and sophomore midfielder Julia Fouts (Cleveland Heights/Hathaway Brown) each contributed a goal and an assist during a 5-0 game-opening run that started Ohio Wesleyan on its way to a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Kenyon on Tuesday.

Fouts opened the scoring with a free position goal, then set up freshman attacker Hannah Mudge (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's School) on a score just 11 seconds later. Less than 30 seconds after that, Allen assisted sophomore attacker Alexa Deaton (Eden, Md./Mercersburg Academy) on a score for a 3-0 Ohio Wesleyan lead. Senior attacker Liz Stockdale (Beaver, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) added a goal and Allen converted a free position goal to increase the Bishop lead to 5-0 with 18:50 left in the first half.

Kenyon got on the scoreboard on a goal by senior midfielder Weronika Kowalczyk (Cleveland/Cleveland Heights), but the Bishops clsoed out the first half with 7 straight scores, with junior attacker Jamie Blake (Ballston Lake, N.Y./Shenendowa) and freshman midfielder Channing Bush (Chevy Chase, Md./Connelly School) each scoring twice.

Allen led the Bishops with 5 goals and an assist. Fouts finished with 3 goals and 3 assists, while Blake and Bush each scored 3 goals. Mudge added a goal and 3 assists. Sophomore Maggie Eichenlaub (Crystal, Minn./Robbinsdale Cooper) had 9 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan cage. Kowalczyk led the Ladies with two goals. Freshman Paige Roberts (Louisville, Ky./Collegiate) had 8 saves in the Kenyon goal.
