No. 18 Boston College Breezes by Yale on Senior Day

Crow scored on a free position with 16:08 to play, but that wound up being the last goal of the day for Yale. Sophomore attacker Sabine van der Linden (four draws) helped the Bulldogs reverse the early edge in draw controls for BC, but the Bulldogs were hurt by 16 second-half fouls (only eight for BC) and nine second-half turnovers.

The Eagles had their lead up to 11-5 when the Bulldogs got two of their best shots to get back in the game. But BC keeper Catherine Conway stopped a free position shot by Fleishhacker, then got low to deny a shot by freshman midfielder Reilly Foote right after that. She also stopped a free position shot by Avallone with less than nine minutes to play, and went on to finish with seven saves. Yale sophomore goalkeeper Erin McMullan made eight. BC scored the final seven goals of the game.

Crow shot .467 this season and finished with the team lead in goals (35), assists (14) and points (49), all more than double her previous career highs. She had at least one point in every game, and ended the year with eight straight multiple-point games. This was the final game for her and senior goalkeeper Whitney Quackenbush.

Yale (5-10, 2-5 Ivy League) will hold its post-season team banquet on Monday afternoon.
