Marist Falls in MAAC Semifinals to Top-Seeded Siena

These contributions were greatly needed as Marist did a phenomenal job taking Bryan Neufeld and Danny Martinsen out of the game. The duo, which each rank in the top-six nationally in scoring, was held to just one point albeit a key Martinsen goal in transition for Siena's final tally with 4:46 remaining. Neufeld meanwhile was held scoreless for just the third time in his career.

Evan Guarini and Aedan Herman each scored twice for Marist. Craig Goodermote added 12 saves for the Red Foxes which end the season with a four-game losing streak.

Siena, which has won 10 of its past 11 games, held a 38-29 edge in groundballs. Tom Morr added nine saves for the Saints which have won eight in a row over Marist.

Siena will now look to capture its third MAAC Championship in four years Sunday against Canisius which was a 12-10 winner earlier in the day against Detroit. Siena won the first meeting between the teams this year in Loudonville 14-2 on Apr. 14.
