Photos: Notre Dame Downs UVa in NCAA Quarterfinal Battle

CHESTER, Pa. – Fifth-ranked Notre Dame finished strong to claim a 12-10 victory over No. 8 Virginia on Sunday afternoon in the NCAA quarterfinals at PPL Park. Max Pfeifer led the way for the Fighting Irish with three goals and one assist, and Steve Murphy added two goals and two assists. Notre Dame advances to face top-seeded Loyola, while the Cavaliers finish the season with a 12-4 record. Photos of the game are by Rich Barnes.
