Dominican (CA) Welcomes Nine Recruits for the 2013 Season

Trevor Garner/Portland, OR/Oregon Episcopal School/Midfielder
Garner led the Aardvark, state champions in 2009, to a top tier ranking in Oregon this year. The team captain was named second team all-state and first team All-Columbia Conference as a senior as a midfielder after making second-team all-league as an attack man in his junior season.

"Trevor is quick and explosive and adds versatility to our offense as he can play both attack and midfield," Webster said. "He has a nifty stick and is sneaky around the crease."

Ben Ludeman/Midfield, OR/Westview HS/Midfielder
Ludeman was a four-year varsity starter and two-time team captain for the Wildcats. The 6-foot-, 190-pound midfielder rebounded his senior year after being limited by a knee injury as a junior. He was Westview's Rookie of the Year in lacrosse his freshman year and named winner of the Wildcat Award as a senior for being the team's most inspirational player.

"Ben is a big, strong kid who impressed me with his skills at facing off, but what sets him apart from other 'FOGO's' is how comfortable he is with the ball in his stick and the fact that he has a deceptively fast shot and moves very intelligently off-ball," Webster said.

Jake Craycraft/Lake Forest, CA/ El Toro HS/Midfielder
Craycraft was a three-time All-South Coast Conference and two-time team captain for the Chargers. He had an MVP season -- 22 goals and seven assists -- this year and was named first team all-league for the third time and second team All-Orange County for the second year in a row. He also played football at El Toro and was named offensive MVP on the freshmen and junior varsity squads.

"Jake is a natural athlete who is tough, gritty and unafraid to mix it up between the lines," Webster said. "He's a complete midfielder who faces off, scraps for groundballs, dodges, fires it from the outside, finishes in tight, shares the ball, and plays outstanding defense. He will really add a nice element to our transition game."

Alex Keuilian/Santa Ana, CA/Foothill HS/Defense
Keuilian played in the Adrenaline All-American game (as did Dominican recruits Grant Clifford and Reis Stanley) this year. The Knights' captain was a three-year varsity player and two-time first team all-conference player at Foothill High, a perennial playoff contender. He was the Knights' MVP on defense as a freshman and senior and recipient of the Tyler Lucas Memorial Scholarship at the Adrenaline All-American game.

"What Alex may lack in height and weight for a defender he compensates for in intelligent, position-first, team defense," Webster said. "He's strong and his stick is outstanding which will really help our groundball play and clearing game."

Logan Van Roekel/Hillsboro, OR/Glencoe HS/Defense
Van Roekel too was a team captain for the Crimson Tide, leading Glencoe High to the Class 6A Pacific Conference championship the past two years. The 6-1, 180-pound senior was honorable mention all-league in football as a defensive back (while playing quarterback) and a punter and first team state and all-conference as a defenseman in lacrosse. He was a team captain in football and basketball.

"Logan will add size and athleticism to the defensive end, matching up against opposing team's larger attack men," Webster said. "As a three sport athlete in high school (football, basketball, lacrosse), Logan will adapt well to the college game and bring intensity to our defense."

Ian Moran/Aurora, CO/Regis Jesuit School/Defense
Moran helped lead Regis Jesuit to the Final Four of the Colorado boys' lacrosse championship this season after the Knights won their first state title his junior season and finished runner-up in state in 2010. His team has dominated the South Suburban Conference. A three-year varsity starter, Moran was the Coaches award winner for the Knights this season.
