Boys' Lacrosse Results of the MASF's 2012 Bay State Games

Waltham, Mass. -- Sunday marked the final day of competition in the 2012 Bay State Games organized by the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation. Results of the action in boys' lacrosse appear below.

Southeast 16, Northeast 4

Steve Righini (Weymouth) scored four times for Southeast, while Conor Martin (Plainville), Sean Williams (Scituate), and Jack Vail (Franklin) each tallied twice, with Martin adding two assists. Six other players tallied single goals, including Nicholas D'Innocenzo (Medway), who also added an assist. Keison Cunningham (Weymouth) and Daniel Sprague (Wrentham) combined for nine saves in goal.

Northeast got two goals from Derek Lawton (Bishop Guertin) and a goal apiece from Devlin Crane (Arlington) and John Curcuru (Gloucester). Evan Connolly (Peabody) made 13 stops in net and Joshua Nelson (Medford) spelled him for five saves

Southeast 9, Metro 6

Steve Righini (Weymouth) scored three times for Southeast and Alex Pacitti (Foxborough) added two goals. Kyle Deluca (Weymouth) scored a goal and added an assist as Southeast scored three times in the fourth quarter to break a 6-6 tie. Goalie Keison Cunningham (Weymouth) made 11 stops for Southeast and also helped his own cause with a goal.

For Metro, Jack Trottier (Tyngsborough) scored four gaols and Ben Foley (Tyngsborough) pitched in a goal and an assist, while Scott Powell (Swampscott) made 23 stops in a losing effort.

Southeast 10, Central 5

Steve Righini scored six goals and tallied an assist, while Jack Vail (Franklin) scored twice and Jake Sargeant (Franklin) notched two assists. Keison Cunningham (Weymouthand Daniel Sprague (Wrentham) combined to make 9 stops in net.

Central got a goal and an assist from Michael Castellani (Nipmuc Reg.) and two assists from Nicholas Polutchko (Algonquin Reg.) and matched Southeast 2-2 in goals in the second and third periods. Matthew McIntire (Milford) made 13 saves.

Southeast 10, Coastal 10

Sean Williams (Scituate) and Steve Righini (Weymouth) each scored three times as an undermanned Southeast roared back from a 7-2 deficit to remain undefeated. Daniel Sprague (Wrentham) and Keison Cunnigham (Weymouth) shared time in net.

Joe Tyo led the way for Coastal with 4 goals, while Ethan McCullough scored twice and had 3 assists. Sean McNamara also shared time in goal and made 11 stops.

Gold Medal Game: Southeast 18, Coastal 4

Southeast's offensive onslaught was led by Conor Martin (Plainville) and Colin Spilane (Franklin), who netted three goals apiece and Jack Vail (Franklin), who pitched in two goals and two assists. Jake Sargent (Franklin), Steve Righini (Weymouth) and Sean Williams (Scituate) also scored two times apiece and Keison Cunningham (Weymouth) led the way in goal with five stops.

Joe Tyo scored twice for Coastal, who also got goals from Andrew Jamiel and Ryan Woefel, and nine saves in goal from Nick McCarthy.
