Mercyhurst North East Announces Incoming Class for 2013

Heaed coach James Malone has announced the incoming class of lacrosse recruits at Mercyhurst North East for the 2012-2013 season.

Attack

Cabot Noyce (5'9, 140) Norwell, Norwell, MA
Cabot was a three- year varsity starter at Xaverian Brothers, and then transferred to Norwell High School to finish out his senior year. Cabot led his team in assists every single season and was a two-year captain as a junior and senior. He received pre-season honors as a senior, being voted First Team Pre-Season All-State. Cabot had an outstanding senior campaign, as he registered 36 goals and 41 assists for 77 points to lead team in assists and points. Cabot finished his career with a total of 227 points, and he helped to lead team to State quarterfinals in his senior year. Senior year accolades include: South Shore League All-Star, EMASS State All-Star Steam, High School All-American, Boston Herald All-Scholastic Team, and Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic Team. Cabot lettered four years in football, winning the MA Division I Super Bowl as a sophomore at Xaverian.

Alex Adler (6'4, 210) Northern Arizona Lacrosse Club, Flagstaff, AZ
Alex was a three-year varsity starter. He was a captain as a sophomore, collecting 108 ground balls with 9 goals and 12 assists. As a senior, Alex led his squad to their first playoff appearance while posting 26 goals, 13 assists, and 74 groundballs. He finished his career with A.Y.L.L. honors three times and A.L.L. All-Star honors twice. Alex earned two varsity letters in football as the starting punter, offensive line, and linebacker. His junior year, he earned 2010 All-Conference Grand Canyon Region 2nd team Punter as well as 2010 AAAA Conference All-Region Punter. His senior Year, he achieved Division III Section 2 All-Sections Second Team while averaging 43 yard and 4.0 hang time.

Tucker Cameron (5'9, 190) Central Dauphin, Harrisburg, PA
Tucker was a two-year varsity starter, serving as team captain during his senior season. He led the Central Dauphin Rams in scoring his junior and senior seasons by scoring 77 goals and 38 assists. He was named Mid-Penn All-Conference third team as a junior and senior. Tucker was also recognized as "Player to Watch in 2012 Season" by Harrisburg Patriot-News. In the fall, Tucker lettered in cross country three years. He received the school's "Outstanding Community Service Award" his senior year. Tucker served 5 years as a teen volunteer for The Children's Miracle Network and the 4 Diamonds Fund at The Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.

Vincent Cardella (5'8, 157) Smoky Hill, Centennial, CO
Vincent was a three-year starter for Smoky Hill. His junior year, Vincent scored 10 goals and had 8 assists. He put in the work in the off-season and wound up finishing his career with a spectacular senior campaign. Vincent scored 34 goals, 16 assists, and picked up 44 groundballs while shooting over 46%.

Jesse Perry (5'10, 190) East Syracuse Minoa, East Syracuse, NY
Jesse was a two-year varsity starter and finished his career with 15 goals and 30 assists. Jesse was a playmaker in high school, as he led the team his senior season with 20 assists. A natural lefty, Jesse helped lead his team to the NYS Class B Section 3 finals, where they lost to eventual NYS Class B champions Jamesville-Dewitt. Jesse also lettered in wrestling for four years.

Midfield

Liam Bedortha (5'11", 223) Pittsburgh Central Catholic, Latrobe, PA
Liam is a transfer from LaRoche College, where he redshirted. Liam lettered in lacrosse at Pittsburgh Central Catholic. His senior year, he scored 16 goals, 23 assists, while posting an 82% face-off win percentage. Liam played 4 years of box lacrosse in Pittsburgh, with his team going undefeated his junior and senior years. Liam plays on the William Penn Tavern men's club team. Liam will be looked upon to dominate the face-off x and push transition for the Saints.
