Union County (NJ) Adds MLax, Names Jay Roussey Head Coach

Cranford, NJ Union County College will be expanding their athletic programs once again by adding a men's lacrosse program for the 2012-2013 academic year. Developing the program as head coach will be Jay Roussey of Cranford.

Rousseycomes to Union County with 17 years of coaching experience in lacrosse. Union is proud to have Roussey pioneer this program from the ground up and take Union Lacrosse successfully to the next level.

As a high school lacrosse coach for 10 years, Roussey has produced 40 athletes that extended their playing career in college with 10 of them playing at the Division I level. He also coached 33 high school athletes to be named First Team All-State and three All-Americans.

On the collegiate level, Roussey found success in pioneering the County College of Morris's lacrosse program. Within four years, he coached 12 NCAA All-Region players and with one of them earning two times All-American. At the conclusion of Roussey 's second season, the program was ranked 7th in the nation.
