Franklin & Marshall Adds Meehan as Assistant Lacrosse Coach

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall head lacrosse coach Todd Cavallaro announced Scott Meehan as his assistant coach. Meehan will work primarily with the Diplomat goalies, attack units, and the overall transition game.

"I am very excited to have Scott join our lacrosse family here at F&M," said Cavallaro. "His passion for the game, work ethic, and leadership qualities make him a great fit into our program. "

Along with his on the field duties, Meehan will help in F&M's recruiting efforts and mentoring the team in all aspects of their college careers.

Meehan comes to F&M after playing four years at Washington & Lee. He was a four-year letter winner and a team captain while at W&L and tallied 52 goals and 31 assists during his career for the Generals.

"I am extremely excited to be joining the Franklin & Marshall Lacrosse coaching staff," Meehan said. "I am humbled to be working at such a terrific institution and cannot wait to contribute to the further success for the Diplomats on and off the field."

A native of Baldwinsville, N.Y., Meehan lettered in lacrosse, basketball and soccer at Manlius-Pebble Hill School where he helped lead the soccer team to a pair of sectional championships. He was a captain of all three sports and a three-time lacrosse team MVP, as well as a two-time first team all-league pick in lacrosse and a first team all-league selection in soccer.

F&M finished last season with a 10-5 record, marking the first time the Diplomats have won 10 or more games since 2003.
