James Logan, Hobart Class of '68, Passes Away Unexpectedly

Salem, Mass. - James Logan, Hobart class of 1968, passed away this past Sunday after suffering a heart attack working as an official at a running event. Logan, 65 years old, played for four years on the Statemen's lacrosse team, serving as captain.

Logan was a coach at several levels. In addition to positions at Holy Cross, Merrimack, and Salem State, he helped start and coach the Brine Lacrosse Club and also coached several high school teams, most recently at Chapel Hill High School in Waltham.

His funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, at Grace Episcopal Church (385 Essex St., Salem). Interment will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Murphy Funeral Home (85 Federal St. - corner of North Street) in Salem.
