Towson, Gettysburg to Host the 2014 Lacrosse Championships
Gettysburg's announcement comes in conjunction with the NCAA's release of championship sites for 2013-14 and 20-14-15. The NCAA named 73 sites to serve as hosts for 18 sports, marking the largest single announcement of sites ever done by the organization.
Gettysburg's women's lacrosse team has emerged as one of the top programs in the nation. Since the 2000 season, the Bullets have appeared in the NCAA playoffs a dozen times and have advanced to the semifinals five times. In 2011, the team claimed its first NCAA championship.
