NILCA Announces Their 2012 Coach of the Year Award

Baltimore, MD - The National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association presented their 2012 Coach of the Year Award to Steve Finnell, head coach of Garden City High School, at the ILMCA Convention on Friday during the Nike Awards Luncheon.

Finnell is the Head Coach of Garden City High School's 2012 undefeated (22-0) New York State Class B Lacrosse Champions and the top-ranked team in America.

"NILCA is truly proud to have named Coach Finnell as the NILCA Coach of the Year," said Ren Pettinelli, President of the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association. "Finnell is the consummate coach, teacher, and mentor."

NILCA was formed to provide dedicated service to high school lacrosse coaches throughout the United States. NILCA seeks to identify and provide solutions to issues raised by men's high school lacrosse coaches. NILCA is conducting its annual meeting during the IMLCA Convention in Baltimore, Maryland.
