Gannon Signs Three to National Letters of Intent for 2013-2014

ERIE, Pa. – Gannon head women's lacrosse coach Lindsey Lowman has announced the addition of three student-athletes to the program. All three players have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Gannon during the fall of 2013.

The early signings include Micky Bowen (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron), Katie Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mariemont) and Tessa Mitchell (Rush, N.Y./Rush Henrietta).

Gannon, ranked fifth in the final two NCAA Division II South regional rankings last season, finished 12-6 overall and 9-2 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action. The Lady Knights entered the postseason as the PSAC regular-season co-champions after trying Lock Haven and West Chester for first place in the conference standings.

Lowman's club won 12 matches for the fourth consecutive season, reaching double digits in wins for the eighth straight campaign. The Lady Knights finished one victory shy of the school's single-season record for wins. The 1998 and 1999 teams hold the single-season record with identical 13-2 marks. The team's nine conference wins also represented the most during the program's four years in the PSAC.
