Lax Coach Mike: A Great Twist on 1v1, the Army Way

It is awesome, with players catching passes on the run and going to the cage as well as defenders approaching the 1v1 drill with their feet moving. It is so much more game-realistic. And as we keep it very fast paced, players love it! We can focus on coaching details and the important fundamentals of stance, stick position, and driving with high energy. We can make the drill different every day by simply changing the locations of the initial stations where the players begin standing shoulder to shoulder.

As an advanced twist for more mature teams, on day we may work on big/little or little/big configurations or invert scenarios by having the middies play behind on offense and/or defense as well as having the attack and defense work from up top.
