Duke's Casey Carroll to Miss 2013 Season Following Surgery
DURHAM, N.C.-Duke men's lacrosse head coach John Danowski announced Thursday that redshirt senior Casey Carroll will miss the 2013 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
The procedure was performed Monday by Dr. Claude T. Moorman III, Duke's director of Sports Medicine.
Carroll, a defenseman, returned to the Blue Devils for a fifth year of eligibility after serving five years as an Army Ranger. He previously played for Duke from 2004-07, earning first team All-America honors his senior season.
