Davidson Adds Eight for the 2014 Lacrosse Recruiting Class

Kendall Thielemann is a two-sport varsity athlete at River Hill High School in Clarksville, Md. As a four-year varsity starter, and captain her junior year, Thielemann led her lacrosse team to a winning record in each of her four years. She served as a member of the Hero's Tournament Lacrosse Club team for six years, a team that was recognized nationally for its success. Thielemann served as captain her senior year on the Hawk's varsity field hockey team, protecting the goal as a defender. Off the field, Thielemann was a Vice President in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and an active member in National Honor Society.

Dana Stasieluk is a three-year varsity goalkeeper at Edina High School in Edina, Minn. A member of the Minnesota Lakers Select Club Program, Stasieluk is a true athlete whose work ethic and determination led her into a starting position. She accumulated 118 total saves and a 46% save percentage during her junior campaign. Stasieluk was ranked No. 3 in the state for goaltender wins and will be leading her team as a captain during her senior year. The goalie will be competing in the 2013 World Cup Festival with the U19 Lakers team this summer. She is a four-year honor student and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.

Nicole Pettiglio, a native of Massachusetts and current senior at Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua, N.H., Pettiglio is a four-year varsity starter for her lacrosse team, and a captain during her junior and senior years. Pettiglio was named to the Massachusetts Lowell Sun All-State First Team her junior year, and named to the Nashua, N.H. Telegraph All-State Team in both her sophomore and junior seasons. As an attacking midfielder, Pettiglio registered 100 goals in two seasons, and earned a spot on the Upper New England Women's National Tournament team for two consecutive years. She was named to the Honor Roll four times. In addition, Pettiglio was named a 2012 US Lacrosse All-Academic honoree. As a three-sport scholar athlete in lacrosse, track & volleyball, Pettiglio was captain of her volleyball team and helped lead the track team to an Indoor State Championship.

Annie Brockett is a four-year varsity starter and a two-time captain for Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, Ohio. During her junior year, Brockett was named first team U.S. Lacrosse All-America, first-team All-State, first-team All-District, and Academic All-Ohio. She was also a member of the 2012 Under Armour All-America Underclassmen team for the Midwest region, a tournament in which a team of each region's most elite players competed against each other. Aside from lacrosse, Brockett is a three-year varsity starter on her high schools field hockey team that made it to the state final four during her junior and senior seasons.

Davidson, recently picked to finish second in the Big South preseason poll, opens the 2013 campaign with a 6:00 p.m. contest against Virginia Tech at home, Feb. 20.
