IWLCA 2013 Preseason Poll for Division II

The LIU Post Pioneers, the reigning national champions, start their 2013 season where they left the 2012 campaign-in the No. 1 spot. Northeast-10 rivals LeMoyne and Adelphi sit No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, with 2012 national finalist West Chester from the PSAC starting the season at No. 4. The NE-10 and the PSAC both boast five schools in the top-15.

All five of the NE-10 schools sit in the top-10 of the preseason poll, led by LeMoyne and Adelphi. Stonehill starts a block of three institutions at No. 7, with New Haven (No. 8) and Bentley (No. 9) right behind the Skyhawks.

West Chester leads the PSAC at No. 4; Lock Haven rounds out the top-10 at No. 10. Bloomsburg leads a trio of schools at No. 12; Gannon (No. 13) and Mercyhurst (No. 14) fall in right after the reigning PSAC tournament champions.

LIU Post from the ECC leads the poll and is joined by Dowling as the Golden Lions sit just outside the top-10 at No. 11.

Rollins, a 2012 semifinalist and an independent in lacrosse, starts the 2013 campaign at No. 5, edging out South Region rivals Limestone (No. 6) and Florida Southern (No. 15).

This is the first poll for the IWLCA for the 2013 season; the first regular-season poll will be released Feb. 25.
