Charlotte 16th Annual Jamboree for Brain Cancer Research

Charlotte Country Day School will host the 16th Annual Lacrosse Jamboree to benefit the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University and The Crossnore School. Twenty schools will participate this year. This event has raised thousands of dollars for worthy causes over the years.

The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke in Durham, North Carolina, is dedicated entirely to the treatment and cure of brain and/or spinal cord tumors in children and adults. Their philosophy of care acknowledges the central role of family in each person's life. All care, regardless of how progressive and technologically sophisticated it may be, is delivered with gentle hands and a caring heart.

Founded in 1913, The Crossnore School is a private, non-profit children's home and school in the western North Carolina mountains, serving children who, for circumstances beyond their control, can no longer live at home, whether permanently or temporarily.

Participating teams are Ardrey Kell High School, Butler High School, Cannon School, Charlotte Catholic High School, Charlotte Christian School, Charlotte Country Day School, Charlotte Latin School, Christ School, Davidson Day School, Hopewell High School, Hough High School, Lake Norman Charter School, Marvin Ridge High School, Myers Park High School, Providence Day School, Southlake Christian School, South Mecklenburg High School, Ravenscroft School, and Weddington High School.
