Diplomats Top-15 in Preseason Polls
LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall is ranked in the top-15 in two preseason polls. The Diplomats landed 12th in the Lacrosse Magazine poll and are ranked 14th by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWCLA) preseason poll.
Trinity and Salisbury were ranked first and second by both polls while Centennial Conference rival Gettysburg picked up a fourth-place ranking in the IWCLA and a sixth-place ranking by Lacrosse Magazine.
F&M returns 17 members from last year's team that finished 13-3, 8-1 CC, including five starters.
The Diplomats will face seven of the top-15 teams, including three of the top-five. No. 2 Salisbury, No. 3 Cortland, No. 4 Gettysburg, No. 6 TCNJ, No. 9 York, No. 10 Messiah, No. 15 Washington & Lee and No. 20 Ithaca all appear on F&M's 2013 schedule.
F&M opens the season Feb. 26 when the Diplomats host No. 9 York at 4:00 p.m.
