Gettysburg Picked First in Centennial Preseason Coaches' Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. Gettysburg College was selected to repeat as Centennial Conference women's lacrosse champion according to the preseason coaches' poll released by the league office on Thursday, Feb. 7.

Gettysburg picked up eight first-place votes and 80 total points to out-distance poll runner-up Franklin & Marshall College, which landed the remaining two top nods and 71 points. 2012 conference runner-up Washington College was picked to finish third after garnering 61 points.

Dickinson College and Ursinus College were chosen as preseason favorites to make the Centennial playoffs in the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. The Red Devils totaled 50 points, while the Bears notched 44. Swarthmore College was close behind in sixth with 44 points.

Rounding out the bottom four teams in the poll were Haverford College (35 points), McDaniel College (34), Muhlenberg College (20), and Bryn Mawr College (9).
