Centennial Conference 2013 Preseason Lacrosse Coaches' Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. Defending champion Dickinson was ranked No. 1, receiving 64 points and eight of the nine first-place votes, and Washington College was slotted second, earning 53 points and one first-place vote, in the conference's preseason coaches poll, it was announced Friday. After reaching the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament last season, Gettysburg was picked to finish third, with the Bullets collecting 52 points.

The poll is voted on by the conference's nine head coaches, who could not vote for their own team.

The Bullets tied Dickinson for second in the Centennial Conference standings last season to earn a spot in the conference playoffs. They went on to receive an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament before reaching the second round.

Gettysburg has also been ranked No. 12 in the Lacrosse Magazine Division III Preseason Poll.

The Bullets finished the 2012 season 11-7 and 6-2 in the Centennial Conference. Gettysburg was ranked No. 20 in the final USILA Division III poll.

The Orange and Blue play their season opener on Feb. 23, when they visit Messiah College in a non-conference tilt at 1:00 p.m.
