No. 11 Lehigh Shuts Down St. Joseph's to Open 2013 Campaign
Saint Joseph's (0-1) struck back as McGee, last season's leading scorer, netted his 39th career goal at the 11:33 mark of the third quarter.
Lehigh (1-0) would add nine more goals for the eventual 14-1 victory. The Mountain Hawks were led by attackman David DiMaria's six-goal effort.
Lehigh outshot SJU, 52-19, and held a 37-17 advantage in ground balls.
In his first collegiate start, sophomore goalkeeper Dustin Keen (Downingtown, Pa./ Downingtown West) (0-1) made 14 saves and allowed 14 goals for a .500 save percentage.
The Hawks return to action next Saturday, February 16, when they travel to Woodberry Forest, Va. for a neutral-site game against High Point. The game will mark the first meeting between the two teams in program history. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
